CS5-MOD 1 is an evolution in signature reduction, re-engineered for peak performance on 5.56mm weapon systems. Lighter and more durable than the previous generation, CS5 MOD 1 is designed and engineered around strict requirements. Building on the combat-proven CS5, the MOD 1 features a rear-biased center of gravity to improve muzzle balance and a forward-venting design that significantly reduces back pressure and operator fatigue. CS5 MOD 1 utilizes internal geometries designed to withstand the harshest of full automatic firing schedules, with minimal impact to the host weapon.
Equipped with a new Dual-Locking Ratchet QD system, the MOD 1 replaces the HUB mount for a shorter overall length and guaranteed sub-MOA POI shift repeatability. This rugged interface features recessed teeth to prevent fouling and impact damage in the field. Whether in CQB or vehicle operations, the CS5 MOD 1 provides superior gas control, rugged deployment, and mission-ready signature management.
Constructed from a monolithic, salt-air–resistant alloy and finished in a non-infrared reflective coating, the CS5 MOD 1 delivers an impressive 138.74dB at the shooter’s ear (11.5” carbine).
